Why TRACE exists

TRACE Carbon Systems is developed by a team that has lived the reality of verification and infrastructure in emerging markets. Traditional MRV tools were built for spreadsheets and estimates. TRACE is built for infrastructure-level metering, cryptographic security, and the standards of registries and financial regulators.

The platform is designed as a long-term MRV layer that other climate software, registries, and sovereign programs can build on, rather than yet another reporting dashboard.

TRACE Carbon Systems is a product line of Spectrum Link LLC, a Delaware-based startup focused on IP-based, infrastructure-grade technologies in carbon and wireless domains. Spectrum Link concentrates on systems that can be deployed at scale in emerging markets and backed by strong intellectual property and verification logic.

The company pipeline includes hardware-anchored MRV platforms for telecom, ports, and aviation, as well as wireless control layers that link energy efficiency, spectrum use, and carbon performance into a coherent investment story for operators, lenders, and sovereigns.

Founding team

Spectrum Link is founded by a small team with complementary experience in strategy, telecom, and carbon verification. TRACE Carbon Systems reflects their shared view that hardware, cryptography, and standards-aligned data models are now central to credible climate action.

Founder and CEO

Background in strategy, finance, and infrastructure projects across MENA and Africa, with a focus on decarbonization, telecom energy, and carbon market design.

Technical co-founder

Experience in embedded systems, IoT, and network engineering, including secure elements, LoRa and cellular backhaul, and large-scale telemetry platforms.

Verification and standards lead

Practitioner in ISO-based GHG verification and assurance, with hands-on work under ISO 14064, ISO 17029, and related frameworks.

Together, the team is building TRACE as a hardware truth layer that can sit underneath existing climate software, registry programs, and financial products without competing with them.
